Audrey celebrates 25 years as a City Councillor!

Manchester's Lord Mayor, Liberal Democrat Audrey Jones is celebrating 25 years of service to local people. Audrey was elected as a Manchester councillor in November 1978, and was the first Liberal to have been elected for many years.

Liberal Democrat Group Leader, Cllr Simon Ashley stated that "Audrey has been helping the people of Manchester for 25 years, and I am so pleased that she has been able to mark such a magnificent milestone by becoming Manchester's first citizen."
