Shadow Health Spokesperson meets Manchester Dentists

Southport Lib Dem MP and Shadow Health Spokesperson John Pugh MP will be in Manchester tomorrow to highlight the current crisis in NHS dentistry. He will meet local councillors and campaigners, and local dentists concerned with the new NHS contracts.

Some 60% of South Manchester dentists have yet to sign the contract, which comes into effect in little over a week. South Manchester Lib Dem MP John Leech has described the situation as "a problem caused completely by Government incompetence and mismanagement."

John Pugh MP said:

"I am looking forward to campaigning with Manchester Liberal Democrats, and meeting with local dentists. The Government has made a mess of the new contract and because of their incompetence in Manchester, like in other parts of the country, it will be the poorest local people who suffer most."
