Manchester's bungling Labour-run Council arranged for traffic calming markings to be painted onto the roadway on Parrs Wood Road, between Fog Lane and School Lane - just weeks before the road was resurfaced! After pressure from the Lib Dems, the Council have finally put the markings back.

The Labour Councillor in charge has admitted that this blunder cost the tax payers nearly £2,500.

"This is a criminal waste of Council Tax payers money," fumed Burnage Councillor Rod Isherwood. "A little bit of common sense could have saved all that cash. There is no excuse for wasting money when so many of our roads and pavements are crying out for repairs."
