Manchester Lib Dem Leader Cllr Simon Ashley today pledged that there was "No Way" Manchester Lib Dem Councillors would support Labour's Proposed new underground car park just for Councillors. Cllr Ashley has written to the Council's Chief Executive asking for more details of the cost and capacity of the proposed car park. Cllr Ashley said: "The current car parking around the Town Hall is perfectly adequate. To spend millions on an underground car park plan is a complete waste of money, and sends out the completely wrong message on congestion. I urge Labour Councillors to ignore their leadership and throw out this daft idea." Ends...
